Pristine Waters of Laguna Guerrero Negro
Laguna Guerrero Negro is located half way down the Baja Peninsula on the Pacific Coast in the Ojo de Liebre Biosphere reserve. The biosphere reserve is a federally protected area where human activities are limited to preserve the natural habitat of the reserve. This area is highly productive area where there is both abundance and diversity of naturally occurring shellfish species.
The productivity comes from local upwelling that brings cold nutrient rich waters from deep in the ocean to the surface where the sun is constantly shinning to produce a natural abundant food source creating a rich and full oyster.
